today

i yearn for the soft metallic light of the sunrise over the atlantic.

for the joy of discovery.

for the playful chatter of gulls and pelicans.

and the peace that only the ocean can provide.

my community lost a gentle soul today.  he was a good good man and a great judge.

i imagine he is in a place surrounded by all these gifts of the sea.  a place where each child is loved and safe.

i needed rest and peace and space and creating and connecting with kindreds.

i received this and so much more.

i'm still softly resting in a good internal place so i'll apply what i learned in kate's writing class and not let the words get in the way of the story.

yesterday:  this mightiness.

today:  a wee forest exploding in autumn color.

tomorrow:  the rearend of the car in front of me on the drive to work.

the trick is to soak each in with gratitude and accept the gifts as the day unfolds.

it's official

i'm on vacation.  lots of yoga, art, laughter, friendship, autumn beauty, self-care, roadtrips and rest in the works.  it's all about balance my friends.
