every time the high begins to fade

i think of the beautiful, talented, singing-while-painting, authentic, hula-hooping, margarita-sharing, downdogging, moongazing, amazingly creative women at squam-by-the-sea i am lucky to call friends.

and my heart fills with love.

thank you mindy, sarah, tracey, kelly, michelle, jenica, ada, sally, melissa, mccabe, stef, jen, jennifer, jessica, elizabeth, michelle, mira, bella, samantha, the fabulous beach divas and every other amazing artist who left their footprint on the sand at nags head and their soulprint on my life.

(wow, i used the word soulprint.  i am high.)

I hope the joy you felt during your retreat will not fade for a very long time. It seems from some of your posts this fall that you really needed this break...remember that your 9-5 work is hard, but you're making a huge difference in the world!!

Oh so special! All the good stuff radiates out of these gorgeous shots and make me smile and I'm certain they trigger even deeper emotions in those who were there to feel and breathe it in. I hope the soulprints last on and on and on...

Is it okay if I admit to being just the teensiest weensiest bit envious too? xox

i'm still mad i missed the margaritas! your photographs are gorgeous! i did not know when we chatted in the kitchen that morning that you were so talented behind the lens! and i LOVE the idea of bringing home the jar of sand and ash to smell your way back to the sea! i collect jars of rocks everywhere i go, but i never thought of adding something to remember the place through smell. great idea! it was wonderful to meet you and we just might run into each other in VA someday soon!
